I picked up a camera faster than I could pick up drawing, so here we are.

My name is Lincoln Powell and I’m pleased to bring you my work as a photographer. For most of my childhood, cameras were always that thing my aunt shoved in mine and my cousin’s face whenever we did literally anything, or so it felt like. So I never really considered it as a means to create art until I was a bit older. I picked up photography during my freshman year of high school. I originally joined because I wanted to make YouTube videos for a living. Shout out Freddiew(Rocket Jump) for that one. I had absolutely no idea the world I was about to be opened up to. Photography quickly became a favorite class of mine. The teacher was very knowledgeable about the craft and he even let us branch out into other forms of creating like screen printing shirts and graphic design. Big ups to Mr. Twitchell. As I got better with still images, my enjoyment of the process grew. I never knew I could put so much meaning and even motion into a photograph and be able to produce a picture I’m actually proud of. I’ve also learned to understand why my aunt is so shutter happy. Special moments come and go, so mind as well capture what we can. Since graduating, I’ve shot weddings, sports events, portraits, and now starting to specialize in automotive and motorsport photography. You can check out my photo/moto blog, Quick Shot, for that kind of work, or check out the rest of my images under the Gallery tab. I’m excited to present my work to you!
